Ceramic Heart

This ceramic anatomical heart project was a relaxing way to explore hands-on mediums. My goal was to learn the best ways to mold and shape clay in order to then create a somewhat anatomically correct model of a human heart. I was able to learn and explore the different ways that pieces can be fired and glazed. Creating this was as rewarding as it was challenging because clay is a very forgiving medium. So much so, that I would look forward to making mistakes throughout the process so that I could learn how to avoid mistakes in future projects. Working against the clock because of the wet clay was slightly challenging but it was really great in teaching me about balancing patience and deadlines.
